1. Factory Reset the device via Android Recovery
Note:
1.1. Disconnect the power from the device 1.2. Press and hold the Home button: 1.3. Keep holding the Home button while connecting power 1.4. Release the Home button when the ELO logo appears on the screen 1.5. After a few seconds a Recovery menu with a bunch of options will appear on screen: 1.6. Tap the screen (or Home button on ELO Backpack) a few times until the option "Wipe data/Factory reset" is highlighted: 1.7. Long-press the screen (or Power button on ELO Backpack) to select this option
1.9. Long-press (or Power button on ELO Backpack) again to confirm
1.10. Now the device will reset all data which will take a couple of minutes: 1.11. When data reset is done, you need to reboot the device by tapping once (or Power button on ELO Backpack) to confirm:
1.12. The device will reboot, factory reset done.

2. Factory Reset the device via Android Settings
Note:
2.1. Tap on Settings:
2.2. Scroll down to and tap on System:
2.3. Tap on Reset Options:
2.4. Tap on one of the options to Erase all data depending on if the device should connect to EloView or not:

3. Prepare the device after Factory Reset
Depending on the state before the Factory Reset, the device may show different screens when starting up after factory reset: 3.1. One of the below screens will show: 3.1a. If this screen is shown, tap Enroll with EloView if you want to use the device with EloView, or tap Android Home Mode if you want to install Qmatic Kiosk or Qmatic Display from .APK (without using EloView).
3.1b. If this screen is shown, tap START to start the device in Android Home Mode. Note:

4. Start the device in Android Home Mode
If the blue screen with START button is shown when starting up, there are usually a few more configuration steps before the Android desktop is shown. Note that these may differ depending on various factors such as Android version etc. The important to remember is to disable as much "extra stuff" as possible, some examples below:
4.1. When the below screen is shown, tap Don't copy: 4.2. When the below screen is shown, tap Skip: ...and confirm by tapping Skip again: 4.3. When the screen regarding Google services is shown, disable ALL options and tap Accept: 4.4. When the screen regarding setting a PIN is shown, Skip: ...and confirm by tapping Skip anyway:
