| Version | Chapter | Change |
|---|---|---|
| 01.A | General | Manual for GW1745 created. Section in Reference Manual removed. |
2. Installation
2.1 Introduction
Gateway 1745 manages all Qmatic hardware at the branch and communicates with the central/distributed Queue Agent. When there are no Qmatic 1745 devices in branches, the Gateway 1745 software can be installed on the central server.
2.2 Install Gateway 1745 on Windows
- Copy the files from the
gw1745_*.zipfile to a suitable directory, for example:C:\QMATIC\Gateway1745. - For each Gateway 1745 instance to run on the branch, install a service by executing
installGWService.bat. This creates a sub-folder named<branchPrefix>_<UnitId>(e.g.GBG_GW1745) and agw1745.cfgfile inside it that the service will use. -
InstallGWService.batwill prompt for configuration parameters — see section 2.3.1. - Installation complete.
- Restart the machine (or start the services via the Services Explorer:
start > run > services.msc). The GW1745 service should start and keep running.
services.msc). All services running on the machine are listed with their service names.2.3 Install Gateway 1745 on Linux
- Transfer
gw1745-linux-<version>.tgzto the server (preferably to atmpdirectory). Unpack it and change into the extracted folder:tar zxvf gw1745-linux-<version>.tgz cd gw1745-<version>
Use a user with superuser rights. - Create the
qmaticuser if it does not already exist:sudo adduser qmatic
- Add the
qmaticuser to thedialoutgroup (required for COM port access for 1745 communication; skip if no 1745 devices are used):sudo usermod -a -G dialout qmatic
- Create the
gw1745directory:sudo mkdir -p /opt/qmatic/gw1745
- Grant rights to the
qmaticuser:sudo chown -R qmatic:qmatic /opt/qmatic/gw1745
- Switch to the
qmaticuser:sudo su - qmatic
- Copy the unpacked files to the installation folder:
cp -r * /opt/qmatic/gw1745
- Switch back to a user with superuser rights and change to the installation directory:
exit cd /opt/qmatic/gw1745/
- Install
libqwebsockets:sudo ./install_lib.sh
- Create service scripts for each required GW1745 process (run once per process needed). You will be prompted for configuration parameters — see section 2.3.1:
sudo ./create_startup_script.sh
- The script creates service scripts in
/etc/systemd/servicenamedgw1745_<BranchPrefix>_<UnitId>, and a directory for each daemon at/opt/qmatic/gw1745/<BranchPrefix>_<unitId>containing the configuration and log files. - Start the daemon now, or it will start automatically after the next reboot:
sudo systemctl start gw1745_<BranchPrefix>_<UnitId>
To stop the daemon:sudo systemctl stop gw1745_<BranchPrefix>_<UnitId>
