2. Introduction
2.1 About Hardware Admin
Hardware Admin is an application for monitoring the status of hardware devices and remotely accessing logs from Qmatic Certified Hardware apps.
Main Features
- View all devices in a branch and see their status (connected/disconnected), update time, app version, and device IP.
- Access logs from Qmatic Display and Qmatic Kiosk devices.
2.2 System Requirements
- For on-premises systems: Orchestra 7 or later.
2.3 Installation
- Copy
certifiedHardwareAdmin.warto<Orchestra_install_dir>\system\custdeploy. - Copy
certifiedHardwareAdminMessages.propertiesto<Orchestra_install_dir>\system\conf\lang. - Add the following lines to

- Execute the following queries against the

- Set up roles and access rights (see section 2.4).
- Add the Hardware Admin unit type to the required operation profiles.
2.4 Access Rights
Users of Hardware Admin must be assigned to a role with the following access modules:
- Hardware Admin
- Connector Administration
- Connector EntryPoint
3. Using Hardware Admin
3.1 Overview
Click the Hardware Admin icon on the Orchestra home page to open the application. You are directed to the Certified Hardware tab, which lists Certified Hardware devices. Select a branch from the dropdown (type to filter by name), then click Show to load the device list.
The device list is based on the unit types added in Business Configuration. By default, the list shows entry point devices. Click Displays to switch to the display device list. The following information is shown per device:

| Unit ID | Name of the device. |
| Device IP | The device’s IP address. |
| App version | The app version installed on the device. |
| Update Time | The last time the device connected to the Qmatic platform. |
| Status | Connected or disconnected. Unconfigured devices are shown as disconnected with empty data columns. |
3.2 Monitor Status of Qmatic Hardware
Go to the Qmatic Hardware tab to monitor the connectivity status of Intro kiosks (printers), Hubs, and Device Controllers. Select a branch from the dropdown and click Show. The list is based on unit types added in Business Configuration and updates every 60 seconds from the stat database. Columns shown:

| Update Time | The last time the device connected to the Qmatic platform. |
| Status | Connected or disconnected. |
3.3 Retrieve Logs
View and export logs from Certified Hardware devices:
- In Certified Hardware Admin, find the device in the device list.
- In the Action column, click Open menu and select View logs.
- To download a log file, click Export. The log is exported as a
.txtfile.
3.4 Prevent Users from Opening Device Settings
To prevent users from accessing the Settings page on devices, disable the device navigation bar.
- In Certified Hardware Admin, locate the device in the device list.
- In the Action column, click Open menu and select Settings.
- Turn off Enable device navigation bar and let users access settings.
